About this tool
Open a PDF to view the descriptive information stored with the document, including its title, author, subject, keywords, creating application, and saved dates. Edit supported fields and download a new copy of the PDF.
How to use
- View the document title, author, subject, and keywords
- Edit supported descriptive fields
- View the application that created the document
- View creation and modification dates
- Download the PDF with updated metadata
- Open the PDF: Choose the file whose metadata you want to inspect.
- Review or edit: Check the available information and update the supported fields.
- Save a new copy: Download the PDF with the updated metadata.

Limitations
- Some advanced XMP information may not be editable
- The tool changes document metadata and does not modify visible page content
- The uploaded PDF file is processed directly in your browser and is not sent to a server.
FAQ
- Will editing metadata change the page quality?
- No. The visible page content is retained; only the supported document information is updated.
- Can I remove all metadata?
- Supported fields can be cleared, but some advanced metadata stored elsewhere in the PDF may remain.
- Will viewers see updated title?
- Most PDF readers show the updated document title in the window, tab, and document properties.
