FAQ
- How are Chinese characters counted?
- Each CJK character counts as one character. Word count for CJK uses a character-based heuristic rather than space-delimited tokens.
- Does it count spaces separately?
- Yes. You get both character counts with spaces and without spaces, plus a dedicated space count.
- How is reading time calculated?
- Reading time uses a standard words-per-minute rate adjusted for CJK content density.
- Can I import a file?
- Yes. Use the import button to load a local .txt file. The file is read in-browser and not uploaded anywhere.
